The Carpet City Chronicle is a column about goings-on in Enfield, Connecticut and its environs.

Now is a time of great importance for our town and our state. The issues out there are serious. From stagnation in the labor market, to ever-rising municipal and state taxes, attacks on religious liberty in the legislature, wages not keeping pace with prices, and rampant public corruption, we have much to be concerned about.

It is my hope that this blog will shed light on the workings of municipal government and help foster dialogue on local and state political issues. I also hope to show what makes Enfield significant and unique: its residents, its places, its history, and its future.

Looking to the future, I hope to advocate positive change for our town and our state.
