From our friends over at the Journal Inquirer, there is news that Enfield Police will be conducting more sobriety checks this weekend:
ENFIELD — The Police Department, in conjunction with the regional Metro Traffic Services, will conduct DUI spot checks in town beginning Friday, June 13.
The spot checks will take place starting at 7 p.m. Friday on routes 220 and 190 and continue to 3 a.m. Saturday, June 14.
I remain astounded at the number of people who get caught.
It’s a persuasive illustration of declining newspaper readership. There really is no better bargain than a newspaper… for less than a dollar you get a whole bevy of news, information, and entertainment. It’s better than Cable TV, and far cheaper.
